Really friendly and helpful service. Bikes are great and they now offer a one way service so you can collect from them in the morning, cycle the Tarka Trail and leave at the end of the day without having to return, great if you're passing through.

Easy to book online, on arrival a warm welcome and was soon on the Tarka Trail with a well maintained hybrid bike. A pleasant ride to Puffing Billy and back, well surfaced path. With a good bike and path was a pleasant way to spend the day

Reasonably priced cycle hire, I hired a hybrid for a day, the bicycle decent quality and came with pump,repair kit and lock. The staff were very friendly and helped with getting the right size bike, the location is great and gets you almost straight onto the tarka trail by the scenic estuary.

Very friendly welcome from Dan, with added advice on routes to follow and places to stop. Very good quality bikes at a great price for the day. Choice of e-bike, hybrid or road bike which was great, with additional options such as children or pet trailer. The location is also very convenient, about 2 mins cycle from the Tarka trail. Friendly and very helpful proprietor. Excellent choice of cycles. We opted for the electric bikes which made the day even easier. Cycled part of Tarka Trail as far as Instow and back. Easily did this in half day hire time slot - distance there and back is approx 20 miles. Would definitely recommend them

We had a really great experience hiring bikes from these guys today. We’re not regular riders and with 2 kids who aren’t experienced. They fitted us quickly, helped us with a route and were really friendly. We had a wonderful few hours taking in the views. Really recommend!

We rented bikes from Waterside Bike Hire recently and the whole process was seamless. Simple online booking system and we picked the bikes up the next day, they offered us different types depending on how we wanted to ride, we chose the more casual models that were perfect for a leisurely ride. The views along the trail are stunning, so much wildlife to see also. Thanks for your professionalism and an easy pick up and drop off guys!

Dan at the waterside bike hire was very helpful and friendly. Quick and easy to hire bikes, plenty of choices ( small, medium , large frames, e-bikes, trailers etc). All in impeccable condition and come with all the essentials (helmets, pump, locks). You can park your car on their allocated spaces which makes it super easy to use this as a starting point for the tarka trail. Overall very happy with the service provided and would give more stars if I could. Highly recommend 😃 Thank you!

Had the best day ever hiring a mixture of electric and non-electric bikes to do the Tarka Trail to Bideford. They even had a doggy trailer for us! Really great service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff with good ideas about where to go. Highly recommended.

We have just hired two bikes for a few days from Waterside Bike Hire to do the Devon coast to coast ride.. Dan and Chris could not have been more helpful in the not totally straightforward arrangements. They were extremely kind and helpful and the bikes were excellent.
